The bold and historic event of amendment of constitution to upgrade the status of J&K and Ladakh UTs was a RAMBAN against the disruptive elements supported by Pakistani ISI, says Tarun Chugh Ji. Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has scripted a new chapter of peace and development in the UT of J&K. People’s attention is rightly channelized to Modi government’s developmental agenda.

The Modi government made a strong statement to the world that we are no longer apart and have come together as one. The momentous decisions made on August 5, 2019, not only changed the constitution but also gave the people of Jammu and Kashmir many new prospects for growth and advancement.

Article 370 was rendered ineffective by the Modi administration through a landmark ruling. Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir were divided by the Modi government's introduction of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill. Both were designated as Union territory. This was considered as a landmark step in bringing J&K into the mainstream.

A total of 890 Central Laws have been implemented since August 5th, 2019, along with the retraction of about 205 State Laws, and 130 Laws have been changed for the benefit of the populace and redistributed.

OBC reservation advantages were raised from 2% to 4%, improving job representation for the weaker sections by 3%. Residents of international border and Line of Control residents also received a 4% increase in their reservation benefit, increasing their share of the pie by 4%.

The central government understands the importance of right to cast a vote in the proper functioning of democracy. According to BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also in charge of J&K, Ladakh, and Telangana, every attempt is being made to organise elections in J&K after the delimitation process is complete. He added that everyone had applauded the repeal of Article 370.

Because of the Bhartiya Janata Party, the state of Jammu and Kashmir held peaceful elections for the first time.

The centre government wants the young people of J-K to compete with those of the rest of India and achieve their goals, therefore the IIT, IIM, IIMC, and AIIMS will increase educational possibilities for the youth.

PM special scholarship scheme (PMSSS) for students of Jammu and Kashmir is proving a true boon to the students with hopes and dreams. They can finally see their education coming back to track after years of disruptions.

The economy is largely service-based and agriculturally focused. Between 2015–16 and 2020–21, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) expanded at a CAGR (in Rs.) of 8.51%, reaching Rs. 1.76 trillion (US$ 24.28 billion).

From 2015–16 to 2020–21, J&K's NSDP grew at a CAGR (in Rs.) of 8.61% and reached Rs. 1.49 trillion (US$ 20.49 billion).

Since "Vikas," or development, is the government's top goal, Jammu and Kashmir has so far seen the completion of 28 programmes. Panchyati Raj was only implemented following the establishment of the Bhartiya Janata Party government.

Around 1500 crore rupees have been transferred directly in banks of people to empower them and to pave the way for development.

The health insurance programme has reached 50,000 families. The job needs of 10,000 youngsters have been met. There have been 6000 new projects initiated. Different kind of development activity have been carried out under Mera shehar Mera Gaurav.

Of the 54 initiatives, 20 have nearly been finished, including 7 from the central level and 13 from union state governments. This indicates that 28 of the 54 schemes have been finished.

During the last so many years, 7000 projects were launched and initiated but never yielded any results. The J&K Government created a new category called "Languishing Initiatives" to focus on projects that were started but never finished.

The administration, which was led by LG Manoj Sinha, made sure that these initiatives were finished and emphasised the goal and advantages that motivated their inception. More than 49.38 lakh individuals have access to the Aayushman Bharat Health Insurance programmes.

Initiative to provide access to clean water in every home - Of the 18.16 lakh rural homes in J&K, 7.82 lakh have already received working household tap connections, and by March 2022, 100% of the targets would be met. A total of 54 development projects with a $56261 crore budget have been approved. Rambagh Flyover, Qazigund-Banihal Tunnel, and Jhelum Flood Mitigation Project are a few of the projects that have been finished.

In accordance with the PM Vikas Package that was made public, 58,627 crores have been spent on early and massive development, bringing the project up to 26% of its final goal.

The income limit for the Backward Classes Reservation Benefit was increased from Rs. 4.5 lakhs to Rs. 8 lakhs. According to the constitution, STs were given a reservation for seats in the legislature.

Security and safety of everyone is crucial for the region. As an organisational incharge, Tarun Chugh ji has done immense work at grassroots level. The incidents of stone pelting has come down to almost zero, ensuring the security of our army men.

The central government understands the tourism potential Jammu and Kashmir holds which is crucial for it’s economic development and much needed change of atmosphere and image in the Union territory.
